The Te Runanga Tea House is one of the most nostalgic and attractive event venues in Rotorua and is located in the heart of the historical Government Gardens, within the Rotorua city centre.
Built in 1903 as a tea pavilion, Te Runanga (The Meeting House) served as a social centre for early visitors to this region.
Due to its unique character and setting, the Te Runanga Tea House specialises in incentive and executive dinners, while this historically-protected venue is also a favourite for retreats, cocktail events and Rotorua weddings.
Its location mid-way between the Rotorua Convention Centre and the Energy Events Centre, combined with its charm and character, means the building attracts many smaller conference and incentive groups seeking something extra special.
