The region is home to more than 25 annual major events, and plays host to a number of national and world championship events. In recent years, Rotorua has become internationally known as a major event destination, as well as one of New Zealand’s most popular tourism destinations.   The Events & Venues Rotorua Major Events team exists to support events through a variety of avenues.
