ABOUT VENUES ROTORUA ENERGY EVENTS CENTRE ROTORUA CONVENTION CENTRE CIVIC THEATRE TE RUNANGA TEA HOUSE ROTORUA SOUNDSHELL ROTORUA INTERNATIONAL STADIUM VENUES | CIVIC THEATRE   CIVIC THEATRE The Civic Theatre is located within the Rotorua Convention Centre in the heart of Rotorua’s downtown city centre.   It has modern and comfortable tiered seating for 686 people with full sound and lighting facilities.   Back stage is being renovated (to be completed by August 2010) allowing additional back stage facilities including three levels of changing rooms to accommodate both the star and the chorus lines. This puts the venue on a par with any of New Zealand’s leading theatres in other city centres.   Pre-show and intermission refreshments can be provided in the foyer areas of the wider Rotorua Convention Centre.   For your convenience Events & Venues also operates a Ticketmaster box office at the front of the Convention Centre, providing tickets for a number of Rotorua Events & Venues’ events.
